FOR A MEMORABLE STAY Travel time to the Amphitheatre Joliette is only 70 km from downtown Montreal, but on Friday afternoons the trip may take more than 45 minutes due to traffic on Autoroute 40. From Quebec City allow about two hours. From Trois-Rivières allow about 70 minutes. Arrive early at the restaurant If you have chosen to enjoy one of the Festival's fine dining partner restaurants, plan to arrive at the restaurant about 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays or about 11 a.m. on Sundays in order to ensure you have a relaxed dining experience. You can also take advantage of our snack bar and bar service (beer, wine and soft drinks) on the Festival grounds. Good weather bad weather Concerts are never cancelled due to rain. The Lanaudière Amphitheatre has 2,000 seats under the roof, sheltered from inclement weather. In case of rain, lawn tickets may be exchanged for another concert. In the case of severe weather, staff will take the necessary measures to ensure your safety. Warm, comfortable clothes As the Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue, concert-goers should remember to bring warm clothes for evening concerts, as the air can turn quite cool after sundown. Wear comfortable clothes and enjoy the magically relaxed setting of the Amphitheatre and the Festival as a whole. Use of parasols In order not to obstruct the view of the stage and inconvenience concert-goers, it is compulsory that parasols be closed in the front section of the lawn at the start of the concert. Parasols may remain open only in the designated area at the rear of the lawn. Protecting the environment We ask all our visitors to respect the natural beauty of the site and not to walk in the wooded areas. We also ask you to use the trash cans and recycling bins. During your visit we ask that you respect the cultural heritage of our century-old churches. First Aid For your safety, a trained first-aid assistant is on hand at each concert to provide assistance in case of illness. | Arriving without tickets? We suggest you arrive about 40 minutes before concert-time in order not to be late. Change of program Performers and repertory may change without notice. The Festival cannot be held responsible for last-minute changes. Latecomers Latecomers need to wait for a pause in the program before they can take their seats. No refunds Concerts are never cancelled due to rain. In case of rain, only lawn tickets may be exchanged for another concert. Picnics and refreshments The Amphitheatre gates open two hours in advance of concert time. Ticket-holders, both for the reserved seats and for the lawn, are welcome to picnic on the lawn before the concert. Bring your own repast or buy something at our snack bar and bar service (beer, wine, soft drinks). No food or drink may be brought into the reserved seating area under the roof. Free for children on the lawn Children age 17 and under are admitted free to the lawn area when accompanied by an adult.
