All-Hamelin: All-Beethoven II

Sunday July 26   |   3 pm
Amphithéâtre Fernand‑Lindsay

Last summer at the Festival, Marc-André Hamelin performed a Brahms concert that was nothing less than historic. In this year of Beethoven’s 250th anniversary, the Quebec super-virtuoso hailed as the “pianist of all pianists” joins Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Orchestre Métropolitain for the complete cycle of the great master’s piano concertos. A meeting at the top, an exceptional achievement, and a “must hear” of summer fare at Lanaudière.

Yannick NÉZET-SÉGUIN, conductor
Marc-André HAMELIN, piano

Ludwig van BEETHOVEN Piano Concertos Nos. 4 and 5 (« Emperor »)
