A prince among European orchestras at the pinnacle of international renown, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin has received multiple awards for one of the largest discographies of our time. This celebrated musical phalanx from Germany invites audiences on an extraordinary journey to the world of Beethoven. Exclusively in North America, the ensemble presents some of the Bonn master’s best known and best loved symphonies , including of course the timeless Fifth, as well as the music of his contemporaries and forerunners. Three concerts packed with fascinating discoveries will illuminate the work of one of the greatest musical geniuses in history.
