A plan for the future: the words of the directors
A word from the general director
“Ambition and daring have always been part of the Festival’s DNA since the very beginning. One need only consider the larger-than-life project of building one of the finest amphitheatres in North America!
The vision of our founders, one that is both rooted in the Lanaudière community and decidedly international, has greatly inspired us to propel ourselves into the future. By acting as a leader that brings together major Quebec, Canadian and international cultural institutions while collaborating closely with the greater Joliette and Lanaudière community, we aim to make the Lanaudière region the hub of classical music in Canada.”
Xavier Roy, general director
A word from the artistic director
Since its inception, the Festival has been committed to creating bold and accessible events that bring together audiences and artists of the highest calibre, both nationally and internationally. “While current times continue to be challenging and difficult, they also yield great promise.
“We are experiencing something akin to a re-foundation. We are projecting ourselves into the future without deviating from our objectives of development and crafting artistic partnerships that will make Lanaudière an extraordinary cultural crossroads.”
Renaud Loranger, artistic director
