The Board of Directors welcomes two new administrators
Florence Turpault-Desroches began her career with the daily newspaper LaPresse in 2008 as a web journalist, after spending a year as a freelance correspondent in China for various media organizations.
In 2013, as Division Head, she helped to create the Pause section,bringing together magazine-type topics, as well the platform for tablet LaPresse + which was launched that year.
In 2014, she became Director of the Pause section, then of the Current Events section, before being appointed Principal News Director.
In 2019, she was promoted to Principal Director of Communications and of the Fondation LaPresse, before moving up to the Vice-President of Communications and Executive Director of the Foundation, one year later. Today, she oversees the operations of LaPresse’s philanthropic activities, including its major donations and loyalty programs, annual campaigns,and donor relations, developing and implementing a recognition program in addition to managing internal communications, public relations and reader relations for the daily new
Charles Milliard is President-Director General of the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec since January 2020. Ahighly experienced executive, he has worked extensively in public affairs, particularly in the pharmaceutical, health and life sciences sectors. He worked for Groupe Uniprix for 14 years, serving in several capacities within the organization’s entire range of operations.
From 2013 to 2016, he took on the role of the Groupe’s Executive Vice-President, overseeing half of its corporate headquarters staff. Before joining FCCQ, he held the position of Vice-President, Heath, for the public relations firm NATIONAL.Over the years,Charles Milliard has acquired solid expertise in the management of strategic and financial challenges, in developing governmental strategies and policies, an dis recognized for his skills in leadership and the public representation of organizations.
Charles Milliard holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and a certificate in economics from Université Laval, as well as an MBA from HEC Montréal. He is a member of the Quebec Order of Pharmacists. A health columnist on various TV shows in recent years (Radio-Canada, TVA and V), he is also involved in a personal capacity withseveral cultural organizations, as President ofthe Board of Directors of the Festival TransAmérique sand as a Board member of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Conseil des Arts de Montréal, and the Fondation Armand-Frappier
