JACQUES-MARTIN
FUND
The Jacques-Martin Fund supports the development of emerging classical musicians by supporting them towards a professional career. Created to honor an exceptional commitment to the Festival, it contributes to promoting the next generation of musicians from here and abroad.

A SPRINGBOARD TO THE
ARTISTIC CAREER
The Jacques-Martin Fund, placed in perpetuity at the Lanaudière Festival Foundation, was created to honor the remarkable contribution of Mr. Jacques Martin to the development of the Festival and its Foundation. Started with $100,000 in capital from the Foundation and supported by the Martin family, this fund aims to support talented emerging classical musicians in their transition to a professional career.
Designed as a real bridge between training and artistic life, the Fonds supports initiatives that promote artistic development, mentoring and integration into the professional world at the same time. Starting this year, a first project will allow promising young musicians to enjoy an immersive experience at the Festival, including meetings with international artists, networking opportunities and opportunities to perform in front of an audience.
Each year, the income generated by the fund is invested in projects aligned with this mission, in collaboration with the Martin family. Thanks to the pairing of the federal and Quebec governments, the Jacques-Martin Fund also has the potential to grow and broaden its impact. By contributing to it, you directly support the emergence of top-level musical talents and participate in their influence on the stages of Quebec, Canada and internationally.
JACQUES MARTIN
THREE DECADES
OF DEVOTION
Jacques Martin has had a lasting impact on the cultural development of the Lanaudière region through his exceptional commitment to the Lanaudière Festival and its Foundation. Involved for more than 30 years on their boards of directors, including several years as chairman, he contributed decisively to their growth and sustainability.
Former mayor of Joliette, he also played a key role in the implementation of structuring cultural projects for the region. His deep attachment to music and the arts has led him to actively support major initiatives, including the creation of the Festival Amphitheater.
With his wife Colette, he has always shown a sustained commitment to the next generation of artists. The fund that bears his name is part of this continuity, with the desire to offer young musicians the resources, meetings and opportunities necessary to promote their talent on a larger scale.
