The partnership between the Quebec Symphony Orchestra and German conductor Clemens Schuldt has been remarkable from his arrival in 2023. For their joint debut in Lanaudière, they offer us works worthy of their extraordinary talents: Grieg's Piano Concerto—one of the most beautiful and best-known—performed by none other than Charles Richard-Hamelin; a piece by the great Quebec composer Jacques Hétu; and Zemlinsky's delightful orchestral fantasy on the Andersen tale, a treasure trove of shimmering colours and poetry.
