As part of the Waskapitan festivities held during National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Festival de Lanaudière is proud to partner with the Lanaudière Native Friendship Centre and the Joliette Art Museum to present a classical music concert, featuring violinist Tara-Louise Montour, accompanied on piano by Soo-Hyun Ahn, with violinist Edward Thibault-Echaquan performing in the first half. The program includes works by Debussy, Mozart, Beethoven, Amy Beach, and Cree composer Andrew Balfour.

Pour ouvrir cette 49e édition, la Place Bourget accueille Oktopus dans un programme où la richesse du répertoire classique rencontre l’élan des traditions klezmer et balkaniques. Entre lyrisme, virtuosité et rythmes entraînants, cette soirée en plein cœur de Joliette donnera le coup d’envoi au Festival dans une atmosphère chaleureuse et rassembleuse.

The Festival invites you to the Amphitheatre for a family day, to be enjoyed on the lawn and around the main stage. Introductory music workshops, an educational trail, and a picnic will fill the afternoon, followed by an interactive concert and an outdoor screening.

OUTDOOR CINEMA

This summer, the lawn of the Amphithéâtre becomes an open-air movie theatre. Beginning at 6 p.m., settle in on site and enjoy the summer atmosphere before the screening begins, around 8 p.m. Several evenings will feature a special theme, inviting audiences of all ages to join in the spirit of the occasion.

BaroQUOI?

What is Baroque music? And what is this remarkable instrument, somewhere between a piano and a guitar? Guided by her harpsichordist accomplice, a soprano sets out to discover its world in a playful and contrasting concert that opens the door to Baroque music with curiosity and imagination.

In Macbeth Muet, Macbeth, a soldier loyal to his nation, encounters three witches on the battlefield who predict he will be king. Following this revelation, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth choose the bloody path of ambition, betrayal, and power.
