MACBETH MUET

Inspired by silent cinema and flirting with Grand Guignol and melodrama, this wordless adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic carries us, with humour and passion, into a frenzied race for power. In a fast-paced and blood-soaked take on the misadventures of the cursed couple, Macbeth Muet deconstructs Shakespeare’s tragedy through visceral theatre, using bodies, objects and fake blood in a world stripped of morality, where human lives are as disposable as Styrofoam cups. Supported by a rich and surprising soundtrack, the performer-puppeteers deliver a high-flying choreography.

FIVE REPRESENTATIONS

Presented throughout the Lanaudière region, Macbeth Muet will come to life in five distinct locations, each carefully chosen to offer every performance a setting of its own. An invitation to experience the work in a new way, through a journey where theatre, music and the region’s cultural landscapes come together.
