PICNIC ON THE LAWN

LIKE IN ITALY!

With the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal, the audience is invited on a vocal journey to the heart of Renaissance Italy. Through madrigals, villanellas, and ancient airs by Verdelot, Willaert, Arcadelt, Marenzio, Lasso, and Peri, the voices will bring to life a world of poetry, romantic passion, humor, and refinement.

Presented outdoors at the Fernand-Lindsay Amphitheatre site, this concert offers an intimate and luminous encounter with early music. The singers will perform in close proximity to the audience, transforming the space into a living stage and offering a sensitive, accessible, and unexpected way to discover this repertoire.

With the lyrical finesse, beautiful harmonies, and warm spirit of Italian songs, Like in Italy! promises an intimate summer experience, driven by the joy of voices and the timeless charm of the Renaissance.
